Concentrated liquidity position management
Supports the management that concentrated liquidity requires, from setting price ranges to keeping track of your position.
Concentrated Liquidity Management
AXIS supports the price-range management and position adjustments that concentrated liquidity provision requires, making a hands-on process simpler to manage.
Liquidity Provision
Liquidity provision is one of the mechanisms that make crypto asset swaps possible. Let's start with a familiar example, currency exchange, to see how it works.
When a customer at an airport currency exchange swaps Japanese yen for US dollars, the counter hands over US dollars from its own reserves and takes the yen in return. In this way, a currency exchange keeps the currencies used for exchanges on hand in advance, and earns fees by providing the exchange service.
Supplying the crypto assets used for swaps is called "liquidity provision," and those who supply them are called "liquidity providers." The supplied assets are gathered in a "liquidity pool," and swaps are carried out using those assets. An exchange that enables such swaps through programs, without a central operator, is called a "decentralized exchange (DEX)."
Just as an airport currency exchange charges a fee for its service, a decentralized exchange charges a fee when crypto assets are swapped. When swaps take place in a pool to which a liquidity provider has supplied assets, the provider can receive a share of those fees according to set rules. The fees a liquidity provider receives vary depending on each position's liquidity, price range, trading activity, and other factors.
A key feature of liquidity provision is the potential to earn fees from trading activity while putting the crypto assets you hold to use in the swap mechanism. On the other hand, crypto prices keep moving while your assets are supplied. The mix of assets in the pool also shifts as swaps take place, so the value of your assets may increase or decrease.

Fee Distribution
A share of the fees goes to liquidity providers
* Fee amounts depend on trading volume and other factors, and no fees are generated when no swaps take place. The value of the supplied assets also changes with market prices.
* The currency exchange is only an analogy to aid understanding. On a DEX, swaps are carried out not by staff at a counter but by programs on the blockchain (smart contracts).
Concentrated Liquidity
An advanced form of liquidity provision. You choose a price range and concentrate your liquidity within it.
You specify a range such as "from this price to that price" and supply a pair of crypto assets.
Your assets are focused on the price band where trading is expected to happen.
The same amount of assets can provide more liquidity to swaps within the range, which may improve capital efficiency.
When the price is within your range and trades take place, you can receive a share of the swap fees.
When the price moves outside your range, that position no longer generates swap fees, and as a rule it holds only one of the two assets.
Because prices are always moving, the position needs to be reviewed as conditions change so that it does not stay out of range.
While it offers capital-efficiency benefits, concentrated liquidity can also lead to losses from price fluctuations and impermanent loss. Before You Start →

When the price is In range: The position may earn swap fees
While the price is within your range, the position may earn a share of swap fees when trades take place. The position normally contains both assets, and their proportions change as the price moves.

Live Pool Data
Uniswap is one of the decentralized exchanges (DEXs) where crypto assets are swapped. On Uniswap, liquidity pools are used for many different pairs of crypto assets, and reference data on trading activity and fee income is publicly available. As one example, here is the "WETH / USDC (0.3%)" pool on the Base network.
* The pair shown is only an example to illustrate how the mechanism works. AXIS does not recommend investing in any particular crypto asset, trading pair, or liquidity pool.

The figures shown are reference information based on past trading activity and other data, and they change with market conditions. The reference APR does not represent the return of any individual liquidity position or of using AXIS, and it does not guarantee future returns. Actual returns vary depending on the price range, trading activity, costs, changes in asset prices, and other factors, and losses may occur.
The reference APR annualizes the most recent 24 hours of activity and does not mean that this level will continue.
Method: The reference APR is an approximate annualized figure based on the pool's swap fees over the most recent 24 hours and its TVL. It does not represent the return of any individual position, the performance of using AXIS, or future returns. Swap fees are calculated as 24h volume × the 0.3% fee rate, minus the protocol fee share confirmed on-chain. Data is updated about every 10 minutes. Figures may differ slightly from those shown on Uniswap's website due to differences in data sources and timing.
About AXIS
Concentrated liquidity provision requires setting a price range and managing the position as prices move.
AXIS is a service designed to support that management.
Supports the management that concentrated liquidity requires, from setting price ranges to keeping track of your position.
AXIS can automatically carry out actions such as resetting a liquidity position's price range, based on conditions set by the user.
Positions and fees are monitored around the clock, aiming to reduce the effort of continually handling operations yourself.
Designed to be used together with a wallet that you manage yourself, such as MetaMask.
AXIS is not a decentralized exchange itself. It is a service that supports the management of concentrated liquidity provided on a decentralized exchange.
AXIS supports Uniswap V3 on the Base network.
* Automated management and rebalancing do not prevent losses or guarantee profits. Network fees and swap-related costs may apply when rebalancing.
Structure
AXIS uses a management structure that combines your wallet, a Vault (smart contract), and a Uniswap liquidity position.
The structure is built on Uniswap V3 on the Base network.
STEP 1
Your Wallet
e.g. MetaMask
A crypto wallet that you manage yourself. You keep your own private key and seed phrase.
STEP 2
AXIS Management Interface
Position management support
The system that supports the management of concentrated liquidity positions.
STEP 3
Vault (Smart Contract)
Linked to your address
The Vault is a smart contract that holds and manages the liquidity position (NFT).
STEP 4
Uniswap V3 Liquidity Position
Represented as an NFT
Concentrated liquidity positions are represented as NFTs, which are held by the Vault.
AXIS uses a structure in which liquidity positions are managed through a Vault smart contract. Before you start, we explain price fluctuations, system characteristics, and other points for you to review.

* You will need to provide the assets for liquidity provision yourself.
Before You Start
Key terms to understand how AXIS works, and what to keep in mind. AXIS does not guarantee profits or principal.
Crypto prices change with market conditions. Likewise, during liquidity provision, the value of your assets changes depending on the type of crypto asset.
When crypto prices change, the value of assets supplied as liquidity can end up lower than if you had simply held the same assets.
It means the market price has moved outside the price range you set. While out of range, the position does not generate swap fees.
A mechanism (program) that automatically executes and processes agreements and transactions on the blockchain when preset conditions are met.
A wallet is software for managing crypto assets, and the private key is the "key" to it. If it is lost or leaked, you may be unable to recover your assets.
Fees (gas) required for operations on the blockchain. Together with swap-related costs, they may apply separately from the system usage fee.
Crypto assets designed to track the price of the US dollar or another reference.
Outages or congestion on blockchains or related services can delay operations or make them temporarily unavailable.
