Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions we hear most often about AXIS.

What kind of service is AXIS?
AXIS supports the price-range setting and position management involved in concentrated liquidity provision. AXIS itself is not an exchange.
How does AXIS make things easier?
Its automated management and rebalancing features, which respond to price changes, reduce the effort of constantly watching prices and adjusting your range yourself.
However, AXIS does not prevent losses or guarantee profits.
How are assets managed?
Liquidity positions are represented as NFTs and managed through a Vault smart contract linked to your address. See the "How It Works" page for details.
Are there any fees?
There is no setup fee or membership fee. A system usage fee applies, based on the swap fees generated through liquidity provision. Full pricing terms are available through our official LINE account.
Network fees (gas) and swap-related costs may also apply separately.
Can I lose money because of price changes?
Yes. Losses may occur due to crypto price fluctuations, impermanent loss, and other factors. AXIS does not guarantee profits or principal.
Are there any limits on how much I can deposit or withdraw when using AXIS?
As a general rule, AXIS does not set its own limits on the amount you can deposit or withdraw.
You carry out these operations from your own wallet. Note that network fees, the specifications of the services involved, and market conditions may result in costs or operational constraints.
Can beginners use AXIS?
Yes, beginners can use AXIS too. That said, we ask that you understand the basics of using crypto assets and wallets, as well as how the service works and what to keep in mind, and use it based on your own judgment.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact us through our official LINE account before you start.
More questions
What is DeFi?
DeFi stands for "decentralized finance." It refers to financial services provided by programs on the blockchain (smart contracts), without intermediaries such as banks.
What is a DEX?
A DEX is a "decentralized exchange," where crypto assets are swapped by smart contracts rather than through an operator matching orders. Uniswap is one of the best-known DEXs.
Which networks are supported?
Currently, only the Base network is supported.
Do I need MetaMask?
AXIS is designed to be used together with a crypto wallet such as MetaMask. Supported wallets and setup steps are explained through our official LINE account.
What does non-custodial mean?
It refers to an approach in which a company does not take custody of users' assets; instead, assets are managed through wallets and smart contracts.
What is impermanent loss?
When crypto prices change, the value of assets supplied as liquidity can end up lower than if you had simply held the same assets. This is called impermanent loss, and it tends to grow larger as prices move further.
What happens when the price moves out of range?
The position stops generating swap fees. In addition, as a rule, the position then holds only one of the two assets. For example, in an ETH/USDC pair, the position holds only ETH if the ETH price falls below the lower bound, and only USDC if it rises above the upper bound.
Holding only one asset does not mean that the value is preserved; the position remains exposed to that asset's price changes. If you use AXIS's automated management and rebalancing, the price range and asset mix may be reviewed according to your settings (costs may apply).
Can I get advice on taxes?
AXIS does not provide individual tax advice or file tax returns on your behalf.
The tax treatment of crypto transactions and liquidity provision varies depending on the laws of your country or region of residence, the nature of your transactions, and your individual circumstances.
Please check for yourself whether you need to file, and how your income is classified and taxed, or consult a qualified professional such as a tax accountant.
